Mark joined RMI in 1999 as an Account Executive and has been RMI’s Sales & Marketing Director since 2000. In 1996, he graduated with honors from Utah State University in business, with an emphasis in Finance & Accounting. For 3 years prior to coming to RMI, he worked as an Account Executive and later as the Director of Operations and Finance for a successful advertising agency that specialized in event marketing for large technology companies. Mark currently sits on Board of Director’s for the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO).
Kurt is President & CEO of Resource Management, Inc. (RMI) and co-founded the company during 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Larsen received his Bachelor’s Degree in Personnel and Industrial Relations from Utah State University and his Masters Degree in Public Administration from Ball State University. For 10 years he served as an officer in the United States Army and was involved in the Vietnam conflict, fulfilled two tours of duty in Europe, and was an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Brigham Young University. He has owned a real estate development company, travel agency, and small manufacturing company during his working career. He understands the challenges that entrepreneurs deal with in running a small business and started RMI to allow the small business owner to focus directly on the production side of their company through outsourcing their administrative, payroll, benefits, human resources, and risk management functions. Kurt was recognized as a finalist in the Ernst & Young’s 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year. He was one of the founders of what became the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) in 1989 and has been active with NAPEO since that time. Under Mr. Larsen’s leadership Resource Management has grown to become a company that represents more than 10,000 employees in 46 states and has gross revenues of $350 million per year.
Dawn has been a CFO in the professional employment (PEO) industry for over 25 years and Vice President and CFO for RMI since 1992. She attended LDS Business College and the University of Utah, specializing in accounting. She worked as a financial analyst prior to her involvement in the PEO industry and is now supervising all financial operations and fiduciary obligations for RMI. Her systems analysis and financial detail has guided RMI from a small business to one of the largest regional PEO's in the country. In 2006, Dawn was recognized as a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the year and in 2007, Dawn was recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of Utah’s 30 Women to Watch in business.
Jim joined RMI as its General Counsel in March of 2005, after having spent almost 15 years as a labor and employment law attorney at Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough, one of Utah's oldest law firms. During his tenure with Jones Waldo, Jim focused primarily on assisting employers in both employment-related litigation and counseling regarding a host of issues. Now, as RMI's General Counsel, Jim continues to aid employers in their interactions with their employees. Jim received his law degree from the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law, graduating in 1991 as a William H. Leary Scholar.
Upon graduation from the University of Utah in 1998, Tiffany joined RMI as an HR Specialist. In 2000, Tiffany managed RMI's Northwest Regional Office. While there, she hired and trained internal staff before returning to RMI's Corporate Office to develop and implement RMI's Client Service Program. In 2002, Tiffany became RMI's Assistant HR Director, and in 2004 RMI's HR Director. Tiffany is fluent in Spanish and completed an intensive language certification from El Centro Bilingue in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Additionally, in her spare time, Tiffany has taught evening Spanish classes to employees of local businesses.
Bill joined RMI in September of 2015. With an extensive background of over 20 years working in a variety of IT fields, Bill specializes in the management, creation, and maintenance of large-scale web development projects. Bill graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City with a BS in Computer Science in 2002 and his MBA in Technology Management in 2009.
Rob has been with RMI since 1995. He started in the payroll department and later was promoted to be the Director of Benefits. Since 2001, Rob has been the Director of Finance & Accounting and works with RMI’s CFO in overseeing all accounting and financial operations of the company. He attended UVSC and received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. Prior to RMI, Rob worked at DMBA in the accounting department.
Jay joined RMI in 2014 as Director of Sales and Marketing. He comes to RMI with over 25 years of sales and executive management experience in the high tech and service industries, leading both private and public companies in sales, marketing, and strategic business development. During his career he has helped build successful strategic partnerships with several multi-national companies, including Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Compaq, and others for the companies he has served. Jay graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Organizational Communications with an emphasis in Corporate Training and Development.
Megan joined RMI in 2001 as an assistant office manager. She then moved into the payroll department and was quickly promoted to the Payroll Trainer and Quality Assurance Specialist. In 2004, Megan became RMI’s Director of Payroll. For 13 years prior to joining RMI, Megan worked as a classical composer, recording music for schools and non-profit organizations. Between 1998 to 2002, Megan worked as an assistant manager in the customer service field while also modeling for local clothing companies & appearing on local network television.
